STATUE OF SAN FRANCESCO

DESCRIPTION OF DIVE
It is a bronze statue of the saint who protects sea people. It was submerged in November 2007 on the occasion of the five hundredth anniversary of his death. It was deposited at 33 mt of depth. During the descent, along the rope, it is possible to see little leaf fish which play near the boas at circa 12 mt of depth. Going more down we cross amberjack and near the statue snoopy sea bream welcome us; under the basement of the statue, some octopuses dig their house from which appear to audience our visits.

DESCRIPTION OF DIVE
In 1991 WWF founded a Marine Protect Area called “Oasi Blu Isca”, that became on April 2008, the Marine Regional Parc of Isca’s Rocks thanks to a regional law. There are two rocks rising to the surface, called Big Isca and Little Isca, and both deep 22 mt. Just down few meters we can see breams, deep reef chromis, moray, flabellina, margherita sea, and other sea wonders. Going deeper we meet groupers and octopuses hidden in their tane. The seabed is sandy and there are many rocks from which appear morays and mackerels. Besides spirographs, sea stars and sponges Haliclona are an explosion of life in nocturne dives.

DESCRIPTION OF DIVE
Limoncella is a little submerged isle, not too far away from Amantea’s coast. It is very rich of tanes and crackes that are shelters of groupers, mackerels, murays, octopuses. The walls have gorgonians that are the background to amberjacks, breams, barracudas and other fishes.. The secca is very amazing in the night.
VILLAGE OF BREAMS

Three rocks submerged, closes eachothers, are the seabed’s village. Reach dive’s point, and going down in the blue we meet clouds of sea breams, deep reef chromis, groupers, octopuses, murays, and other wonders.
WRECK HENRY DESPREZ

DESCRIPTION OF DIVE
The wreck is a oil tanker built in 1932 in the shipyard Burmeister & Wain in Copenhagen for the company Auxiliare de Navigation of Paris. After 9 years from its launching it was required from German, in the harbor of tolone, and renamed TRapez IV. It serve germany fro two years, and in june 1943 it was sunked by three torpedos launched from HMS UNRUFFLED, a Britain submarine. The wreck is in navigation trim on the seabed at 75 met of depth, and with good visibility, we can see the castle of command, compass, captain’s room, gauges… sourround it there are amberjacks, deep reef chromis, big groupers and sometimes also sea eagles. The ship is very big, 150 met long, so it is not possible to see it all with only one immersion.
BLACK CORAL REEF

DESCRIPTION OF DIVE
Black coral reef is a big rock submerged at 56 mt. The rock has a vertical slip with some small caves of octopuses, groupers. Besides we see red and yellow gorgonians, paramuricea clavata and the big white forest of black reef recently discovered from Piero Greco and Domenico Giuliani.
